How to Start a WordPress Blog with BlueHost you may be asking? If you’re like me, you’re always looking for ways to go that extra mile when it comes to earning extra money for your household in order to make ends meet. A little over a year ago, I started reading up on how to start a blog, and the one consistent website that continuously came up in my search was BlueHost. Below will show you the couple steps to take in getting your own blog up and running.
What is BlueHost you may be asking yourself? It’s one of the largest and most trusted web-hosting services out there. I have had wonderful success using their site, and you will too!
I’m new to this blogging adventure, and praying that in time, I can make a larger income from my blog, so that my family can finally have financial freedom. How amazing is that?!
Here are the steps you need to take in order to get your blog started…
- Register your domain name on BlueHost – The first thing I did when I started thinking about blogging is think about what I wanted to be referred to in the blogging world. Once you have figured out what you want to call your blog, go on the BlueHost website, click “get started now”, choose the plan you want to go with, then enter your chosen name in the “new domain” box to see if the blog name you have come up with is available. Enter your personal and payment information, then choose a password. Make sure to uncheck any extras that you do not want when signing up. (Note: If you choose at least the 12 month plan, you will receive your domain name for free. Also, please note that the 36 month plan will provide you with the best overall price.)
- Install WordPress with BlueHost – First, you will be asked to pick your theme. I chose a random theme at first, and then went back to play around with other themes once I got everything setup. Next, click “start building”. Once you go through the steps, you are ready to add your content! Simple, right?
