How to Earn Money with Swagbucks? Sometimes trying to find new ways to save, or make more money requires us all to be a little “crafty”.
Swagbucks is an incredible website where you can earn online reward points, and in turn, cash them in for gift cards, charities, etc… I personally love cashing them in for Amazon and Paypal gift cards. The main reason for the Paypal gift cards is because I can transfer those funds to my bank account to help with monthly expenses like gas, groceries, bills, etc…
Swagbucks is NOT a scam, I can assure you. I have been using the Swagbucks website for probably 8 or 9 years now. It does require time, but in the end, I find that time worth it when it is saving me a lot of money out of my own pocket.
So, with that said, I want to show you how I earn money with Swagbucks.
First, you need to sign up for Swagbucks (click link here to sign up)by clicking here where you will enter your email address and a password. You can also sign in with your Facebook account if you wish.
When you refer your friends to Swagbucks, you get 10% of whatever they earn for life! So when they earn 500 Swagbuck points, you get 50. How great is that?
After you have created your account, you can earn some quick and easy Swagbucks by filling out your profile, make Swagbucks your default search engine, and by installing the “Swagbutton”.
Now that you have signed up, let’s start earning! How much is each Swagbuck point worth? Well, for every 500 Swagbucks, you can cash out for a $5 giftcard, so essentially, each SB or Swagbuck is worth $0.01. It doesn’t seem like much, but it adds up fast!
Use the Swagbucks search engine to earn points! The easiest way to do this is by making Swagbucks your default search engine. The amount of points you earn for a search win is random. It can be 4, or it can be 99. Every search will not win you points, but if you continuously use the search engine, your bound to have a win.
Do you shop online? If so, why not shop through the Swagbucks website to earn points/cash back on your purchases. This is how I do much of my Christmas shopping, or just shopping throughout the year. I live in a small town that doesn’t have a “real” mall, therefore, it’s an hour drive to get to a mall and by that time, you’ve already spent the cost of shipping just in gas. To me, it’s worth it to shop online.
How much do I earn for shopping online? That depends on the store. For example, if you are to shop through Swagbucks with Target, you earn 2SB per $1, on the other side, let’s say you are looking to get a hotel. You can shop for hotels on Hotels.com through Swagbucks and earn 8SB per $1. So that $100 a night hotel room, just earned you 800 Swagbucks! Crazy, right?
One of the fastest ways to earn your daily Swagbucks goal is by doing surveys. While you do have to qualify for the surveys, Swagbucks does try to help out by matching your profile to particular surveys. Survey times vary. One may take 5 minutes, while another survey can take 40 minutes, BUT you are very well compensated for your time.
Along with surveys, this is the other main thing I do to earn my Swagbucks. There are many types of videos that you can “watch” including Careers, Entertainment, Fashion, Fitness, Food, Health, hobbies, etc… There are times when I simply just click on a video series and then go do those household chores that we all have. Most videos will just jump to the next once done for any series.
That’s right! You can earn Swagbucks by using coupons! Not one that I use regularly, but you can earn 10 Swagbucks for every coupon you actually use. How awesome is that!
I highly recommend joining the Swagbucks Facebook page as they will provide information/posts that will give you more opportunities to earn.
The Swagbutton is a browser for your extension for whatever internet you use whether it be Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer. The Swagbutton let’s you know if a site you are on (such as an online store) offers opportunities to earn Swagbucks. It also allows you to redeem “Swagcodes” straight from your browser.
What are Swagcodes you ask? Swagcodes are just that. They are codes that allow you to instantly earn a small amount of Swagbucks to help you reach your daily goal. Sometimes, if there is a code out there that you are unable to find, you can go to the Swagbucks Facebook page and read through the feed. Usually someone has posted the code. What you find the code, you hover your mouse over the Swagcode option in the Swagbucks tool bar at the top of their website and it will have a small area for you to redeem that code.
When it comes time to redeem your swagbucks, you click on “Rewards” in the left sidebar on Swagbucks website. You will notice that Swagbucks pays you in gift cards. I personally like the Amazon and Paypal options. With Amazon, you can go on Amazon.com and stack your gift cards in your account, and with the Paypal gift cards, once in your paypal account, you can transfer the funds to your checking to help pay for every day necessities like bills, groceries, gas, etc… Please note that “sometimes” Swagbucks even has a discount on the amount of points needed to cash out on a particular gift card, so I highly recommend watching the rewards page periodically. Also note that you can only cash out for 2 gift cards each day.
With all this said, I TRULY love the Swagbucks website, and I highly encourage anyone to give it a shot. It does take time, but when your fumbling around for an extra buck here and there, Swagbucks really does come in handy.
