Crochet Washcloth Pattern #6 Ripple Edge

Finished measurements approximately 9 inches x 9 inches square.

 

Materials Needed

100% Cotton Yarn (I mostly use Lilly Sugar ‘n Cream). One skein is all you should need and you will have left over yarn.

5.5mm Size I Crochet Hook

Yarn Needle to weave in ends

 

Abbreviations

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

HDC = Half Double Crochet

SK = Skip

ST/STS = Stitch/Stitches

 

Instructions

CH 32

Foundation Row:  1 SC in 2nd CH from hook, and in each CH across. CH 1, turn.  (31 STS)

Row 1:  1 SC and 1 HDC in first CH, *SK next CH, 1 SC and 1 HDC in next ST*. Repeat from * to end of row. CH 1. Turn.

Row 2:  *SK next CH, 1 SC and 1 HDC in next ST*. Repeat from * to end of row. CH 1. Turn.

Repeat row 2 until the washcloth measures approximately 8.75 to 9 inches square (washcloth should measure almost same size width and length). Once this step is done, move to next sentence below.

1 SC in each ST across.

Fasten off and sew in ends.
